PTA BALLOON LAUNCH 2010

Who knew FUNraising could be so much fun?!

Who knew FUNraising could be so much fun?!

WOW! For the fifth year in a row, we have been blessed with perfect weather for our Balloon Launch.  With clear skies and mild winds, our balloons ascended high into the sky and drifted south east.  It will be interesting to see where they go this year.  We had fun setting them free and look forward to tracking them as they are returned.  Thus far, we’ve had at least 22 sent back to school.  Hooray!

THANK YOU to all the families who contributed in some way – every donation helps!  Due to your generosity, we’ve raised over $6,500 with this direct donation fundraiser!   We greatly appreciate your support!

Prizes were distributed at a school wide assembly on Friday, Jan. 14th.  Every child in attendance should have received a reward of some sort.  Congratulations to the Majlick Family for winning the Grand Prize drawing for the Family Getaway to Kalahari Resort!  Hope they have a great time!

Many thanks to Lisa Larson for chairing this event & Lisa Williams for soliciting all of the prizes & donations for this important PTA fundraiser!  We greatly appreciate the support of the attached local businesses!  2010 Balloon Launch Recap

Back to School Shopping Time

Thank you all for a wonderful year of fundraising! We raised a total of $1604.84 as a result of the Browning community participation in the “My School is Cool” Lakeside program in 2009/2010. We were one of 15 schools chosen to run in this year’s program.   Outstanding!!

Please start saving all your receipts from Lakeside Mall and we can make some easy money!  Every dollar we spend will earn us a point pass.  Browning has a locker for point passes in the Lord & Taylor court upstairs or they are accepting point passes at customer service counter right now for the fall session.

Any questions or concerns, please contact one of our “My School is Cool” co-chairs:  Dawn Neubacher ([email protected]) or Tracy Sorrentino ([email protected])

Balloon Launch results

Dear Parents:   Thank you to all the parents that contributed to our 2009/10 Balloon Launch Fundraiser for Browning’s PTA.  We had a successful event with 12 students receiving their balloon cards back and raising $5,091.20 to go towards our Browning Elementary children.  Some of our students received some really nice notes back with their returned balloon cards.    Our event was highlighted in the C & G Newspaper giving our event local press.

The PTA raffled an overnight stay to the Kalahari Resort.  Each student of Browning had their name in the drawing with a minimum donation of $20.00 with a $40.00 maximum per family.  The winner of the Kalahari stay is Austin Rasho.  Congratulations!

Thank you for your generosity and for your support along the way.  We look forward to a rewarding, educational and fun year for our Browning Students.
